The Electronic Rental Services Network "Ejar" announced that the Rental Index recorded more than 102,000 rental transactions during June, according to reports and data issued by the network in integration with the "Sakani" platform, in 16 cities covered by the index, encompassing all regions of the Kingdom.

Ejar explained in a press statement today that over 80,000 residential rental contracts were authenticated through the network, while commercial rental contracts exceeded 21,000 contracts, based on data from the fifth report covering cities included in the Rental Index.

In the cities with the highest number of rental transactions, the top neighborhoods recording residential rental transactions were as follows:  (Dhahrat Laban, Tuwaiq, and Al-Aziziyah) in Riyadh; (Al-Safa, Al-Bawadi, and As-Salamah) in Jeddah; (Al-Noor, Taibah, and Al-Atheer) in Dammam; (Al-Thuqbah, Al-Khobar Al-Shamaliyah, and Al-Khobar Al-Janubiyah) in Khobar; and (Wali Al-Ahd, Al-Shouqiyah, and Al-Rashidiyah) in Makkah.

For commercial transactions, the top neighborhoods were:  (Tuwaiq, Al-Olaya, and Al-Aziziyah) in Riyadh; (Al-Safa, Al-Balad, and Al-Aziziyah) in Jeddah; (Al-Anoud, Al-Adamah, and As-Salamah) in Dammam; (Al-Khobar Al-Shamaliyah, Al-Thuqbah, and Al-Aqrabiyah) in Khobar; and (Jarwal, Wali Al-Ahd, and Al-Rashidiyah) in Makkah.

Riyadh topped the fifth Rental Index report as the city with the highest number of authenticated rental contracts, exceeding 36,000 residential and commercial contracts, followed by Jeddah with about 30,000 contracts, Makkah with over 7,300 contracts, Dammam with over 6,400 contracts, and Al-Khobar with more than 5,400 contracts, while the remaining cities recorded a combined total of 17,000 residential and commercial transactions.

The Rental Index aims to enhance transparency and stimulate investment in the Kingdom’s rental real estate sector by setting precise rental indicators for cities, neighborhoods, and various property types across both residential and commercial sectors. 

The service enables beneficiaries to access the residential rental index to view average rental prices, including for different residential unit types (apartment, villa, floor), as well as the commercial rental index for average square meter prices in commercial units (shop, showroom, office). This provides more accurate search results and better selection processes from available real estate offerings that meet their needs.
