Over 450,000 Electronic Payment Operations in "Ejar" During the First Half of 2022

Ejar program announced that payment operations through electronic channels in the Electronic Rental Services Network exceeded 450,000 operations during the first half of 2022. It stated that electronic payment operations for rental installments, provided by the Electronic Rental Services Network, varied between annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly payments, in addition to user balance recharge operations in the network. The program clarified that all its services, including financial services, are designed to facilitate rental transaction procedures and safeguard the rights of all parties involved, which contributed to the authentication of approximately one million rental contracts during the current year.
In a press statement released today, the program explained that electronic payment for installments documents all financial transactions between rental process parties, preserves their rights, and strengthens trust between them. Electronic payment operations provide both parties to the contract (landlord and tenant) with a reliable alternative to cash transactions and manual receipt vouchers. Payments made through electronic channels such as SADAD and Mada are considered accredited proof of rent payment. In addition, these operations simplify financial collection procedures, ensure proper monitoring of financial transactions, and allow contract parties to easily agree on shorter payment periods, including monthly and quarterly installments, to meet beneficiaries’ preferences and streamline the payment process for tenants. This system also allows for partial or future payments of rental installments, while landlords benefit from an organized collection process, as the landlord's bank account is registered in the network during contract registration to enable direct transfer of rental payments from electronic channels to the landlord’s account.
The Ejar program had previously announced the addition of a number of services, such as the Rental Index, electronic handover and delivery services, rental behavior assessment, and direct electronic contract authentication through the network. Furthermore, Ejar has expanded access to diverse payment channels for rental payments, including Mada and SADAD, and has introduced user balance recharge options. It has also established strategic partnerships with various entities, enabling the transfer of utility and other services under the name of the actual user of the rental unit.
