The Electronic Rental Services Network "Ejar" announced the addition of 4 new cities to the "Rental Index" service, according to reports and data issued by the network in integration with the Sakani platform: (Buraydah, Tabuk, Hail, and Jizan), bringing the total number of cities covered by the index to 10.

The Rental Index service aims to enable beneficiaries to search for suitable options that meet their needs and to facilitate searches within cities and neighborhoods covered by the service during periods specified by the beneficiary. The four new cities (Buraydah, Tabuk, Hail, and Jizan) are added to the 6 previously included cities in the Rental Index: (Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Dammam, Madinah, and Khobar).

The Rental Index began issuing its monthly reports in March and released its second report in April, covering over 185,000 residential and commercial rental transactions, with Riyadh leading in both residential and commercial sectors. Future reports are expected to include rental value data for the units covered by the index.

It should be noted that the Rental Index aims to raise the efficiency and transparency of the Kingdom’s real estate rental sector by establishing indicators to measure the average rental prices of residential units, the average per-square-meter price of commercial units, and the number of transactions. These indicators are based on rental contract data authenticated in the Ejar network since 2019 and updated periodically, providing clear details about fluctuations in rental contract values and transactions during the period determined by the beneficiary.
