During the Real Estate Future Forum in Riyadh, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Tawil, Deputy Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing for Real Estate Development, announced that the number of commercial rental contracts authenticated in the Electronic Rental Services Network “Ejar” has surpassed 500,000 contracts across various cities and regions of the Kingdom.

Al-Tawil explained that these figures reflect the strong demand from institutions and companies for authenticating commercial rental contracts, as well as the confidence of all parties involved in the rental process in the network. This confidence stems from the streamlined electronic services it provides and the safe and authenticated contractual environment it ensures. The network had previously announced the registration of over 3 million rental contracts, both residential and commercial, since the launch of the program.

He emphasized that the network’s role in registering commercial rental contracts is to safeguard the rights of all parties and enhance the Kingdom’s real estate rental sector. This contributes to strengthening confidence in financial and contractual transactions while streamlining processes through advanced electronic procedures.

Al-Tawil also highlighted “Ejar’s” ongoing efforts to improve user experience for all parties involved in the rental process. This includes simplifying registration and authentication procedures through clear and accessible steps, providing multiple channels for payment processing, and offering a variety of additional services to further support users.

It is noteworthy that the “Ejar” program seeks to enhance trust in the real estate rental sector, protect the rights of all stakeholders—including landlords, tenants, and real estate brokers—and develop standardized rental contracts that meet beneficiaries’ needs. The program also aims to boost sector performance, increase its contribution to the national economy, and minimize disputes through reliable contract authentication.
