The Ejar program revealed an increase in the number of commercial rental contracts registered in the Electronic Rental Services Network during 2021, surpassing 200,000 commercial rental contracts, marking a 44% increase compared to 2020, from the beginning of the year until October.

The program explained that the growing demand for the Ejar network’s services is a result of the program’s continuous efforts to develop and upgrade its services and strategic partnerships, most recently the connection with the National Water Company, which enables beneficiaries of the network to transfer water meter accounts to the actual user’s name of the real estate unit registered in the Ejar program.

Ejar indicated that the percentage increase in commercial rental contracts exceeded 44% compared to the same period last year, and that the commercial rental contract represents a significant addition in the field of contracting in the real estate rental sector, offering advantages such as payment scheduling and flexibility, the ability to register it as a conditional contract, the possibility of modifying the commercial activity after concluding the contract, and other rights and benefits available to tenants.

The commercial rental contract offers several advantages, including the ability to build and activate its clauses, determine the obligated party easily and electronically, and its recognition as an executive bond by judicial authorities. It is also characterized by its flexibility and adaptability to the nature and requirements of commercial activities, and its coverage extends to a wide range of commercial properties and units, including  towers, commercial complexes, buildings, showrooms, warehouses, kiosks, shops, offices, and others.

The Ejar program aims to regulate and encourage investment in the real estate market, enhance transparency in rental transactions between all parties, and enable beneficiaries to access data provided by the network. In cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Ejar also contributes to reducing disputes related to the real estate rental sector and alleviating the burden on judicial authorities by safeguarding the rights of all parties to rental agreements (tenant, landlord, and real estate broker) through unified and approved electronic rental contracts, authenticating contracts, registering real estate unit data on the network, and activating their use as executive bonds.
