The number of residential rental contracts authenticated in the Electronic Rental Services Network exceeded two million contracts in all cities and regions of the Kingdom from the start of the program until September 2021. This growth is attributed to the remarkable and rapid development of services provided by Ejar in cooperation with real estate brokers, aiming to safeguard the rights of all parties and enhance the reliability of the real estate sector.
In a press statement, the Ejar program explained that the network continues to develop its services to meet the aspirations of all parties, elevate the rental real estate sector, and contribute to creating a secure rental environment by increasing confidence in financial and contractual transactions, facilitating procedures through advanced electronic tools, and significantly supporting the registration of over three million real estate units with more than two million residential contracts concluded since the network’s launch in 2018.
Ejar emphasized its commitment to reinforcing the confidence of rental process parties by facilitating the authentication of real estate unit contracts, diversifying network services, improving the registration process, streamlining financial operations and rental bill payment mechanisms, and scheduling them as part of the program’s efforts to improve network efficiency and simplify electronic processes. This is in addition to strengthening strategic partnerships, most recently through its integration with the National Water Company to enable the transfer of water meter accounts electronically under the actual beneficiary’s (tenant’s) name within the Ejar network.
The Electronic Rental Services Network offers numerous electronic advantages, including the ability to schedule rental payments  (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) progressively or regressively, as well as through specific and flexible installments. Users can also select their preferred payment channel for each rental payment. The network further supports new types of properties and units, simplifies the process of registering new contracts in five easy and flexible steps, enables electronic contract authentication directly through the network without requiring access to the Absher platform, and adds an automatic renewal feature for commercial contracts. It also introduces a new channel for rental payment and balance top-up via the Mada service, while allowing beneficiaries to make partial payments and recharge balances conveniently and quickly.
It is noteworthy that the Ejar program aims to enhance the reliability of the real estate rental sector, safeguard the rights of all stakeholders—including landlords, tenants, and real estate brokers—establish unified rental contracts tailored to beneficiaries’ needs, improve sector performance, increase its contribution to the national economy, and reduce disputes by authenticating contracts.
