Ejar program has launched a package of new services, features, and improvements for the Electronic Rental Services Network, contributing to raising network efficiency, simplifying rental process procedures, and expanding areas of cooperation with private sector partners.
Ejar confirmed in a press statement that the primary goal of these development efforts is to fulfill the aspirations of rental parties, enhance the rental real estate sector, and contribute to creating a secure rental environment by boosting confidence in financial and contractual transactions. The improvements simplify procedures through advanced electronic tools, which will have a significant impact on enhancing the investment environment, reducing risks by safeguarding rights, and shortening litigation periods for rental contracts, considering contracts authenticated through the network as executive bonds recognized by judicial authorities.
The upgraded Ejar network offers numerous electronic advantages, most notably: simplifying the process of registering new contracts through five easy and flexible steps; authenticating contracts electronically and directly without requiring access to the Absher platform; introducing an automatic renewal feature for commercial contracts; providing a new payment channel for rental installments and balance top-ups via Mada service; and enabling beneficiaries to make partial installment payments and top up balances quickly and conveniently.
The network has also enabled rental parties to schedule payments, whether progressively, regressively, or through specific and flexible installments. Payment channels can be selected for each installment, with the option of adding bank account details after contract authentication. The network now allows the manager of a real estate brokerage establishment to be someone other than the owner and enables the appointment of a single manager for multiple brokerage establishments simultaneously. It has also increased the ID field capacity to accept Gulf citizen identity numbers and now accommodates new property and unit types, such as land, ATMs, power stations, communication towers, driver rooms, parking spaces, and more.

Enhancements have also been made to real estate unit registration operations, including search capabilities between contracts or properties and previously registered units with real estate brokers. The electronic wallet has been activated for all user accounts in the network, and the platform now allows recording earnest money in contracts. Tenants can also request an official receipt voucher from landlords through the network.
The network features a new contract tracking dashboard for rental process parties, with recent updates for tenants. This dashboard shows payment statuses and sends text notifications of upcoming or overdue installments, contract start and end dates, and payment receipts. Moreover, contract authentication is now only possible after recording all title deed details and verifying the identities of contracting parties by an accredited real estate broker in the Ejar network. Beneficiaries rejecting a contract can now specify reasons for rejection and add notes explaining their decision.
The program has conducted over 10 introductory meetings for real estate brokers across the Kingdom since launching the upgraded version of the Ejar network. These sessions provided a comprehensive overview of the updated platform, its improvements, and key differences compared to the previous version, while answering brokers’ questions and explaining operational mechanisms and new features.
It is noteworthy that Ejar has announced the registration of over three million real estate units in the network since its launch in February 2018, and the program recorded a daily average of more than 3,500 authenticated rental contracts in August.
