The Ministry of Housing, represented by the Ejar program, organized a coordination meeting with representatives from various government entities, aimed at implementing the Council of Ministers’ decision requiring government entities to register their rental contracts in the Electronic Network for Rental Services.

Ejar program seeks, in line with the Council of Ministers’ decision, to develop a unified service for registering government real estate rental contracts, similar to and integrated with current services, by documenting all types of rental contracts for the individual and institutional sectors. The initiative aims to provide value-added services that consider the needs of government entities, their organizational structure, and the diversity of their authorities, enabling them to register title deeds, conclude rental contracts, and manage them with ease and flexibility.

Ejar also aims to unify beneficiaries’ transactions in the real estate rental sector, whether their contracts are with institutions, government entities, or between individuals and private sector institutions, through a single platform that provides services to facilitate the rental process among all parties. This includes enabling interaction with various entities and individuals, simplifying the management of government real estate investments, and streamlining support procedures provided by government entities in the real estate sector for both individuals and establishments.

It is worth noting that the development of the electronic network and its services is ongoing. Ejar launched the commercial rental contract documentation service for beneficiaries through its electronic network “optionally” as a first phase, to gather feedback from commercial rental contract parties. The program has also introduced flexible payment periods, including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual options, in addition to providing a quick registration service for rental contracts that takes no more than eight minutes. Another activated service is the ability to register rental contracts for periods of no less than three months, reflecting Ejar’s commitment to meeting all needs and accommodating the preferences of users in both the residential and commercial rental sectors.

The number of real estate establishments registered in the Electronic Network for Rental Services has surpassed 12,000, while the number of contracts registered on the network has exceeded 233,000, covering both residential and commercial sectors. Additionally, the total number of rental units registered on the network has reached over half a million.
