The Ejar program held yesterday an introductory meeting about the Electronic Network for Rental Services in Al-Khobar city in the Eastern Province with more than 500 real estate brokers attending. The meeting comes within the Ejar program's efforts to achieve its main objectives of developing the real estate rental sector, preserving rights, organizing and facilitating procedures, and improving services provided to rental process parties by qualifying workers in real estate brokerage establishments.
The meeting included a visual presentation about the Electronic Network for Rental Services and registration conditions, clarifying the advantages and obligations of lessors, tenants, and real estate brokers, and reviewing the unified rental contract terms. Strategic Performance Manager in the Ejar program, Abdul Rahman Al-Sammari, provided an overview of the program, its future objectives, and the necessary procedures to cover all requirements for developing the real estate rental sector system. He confirmed the program's commitment to quickly activating strategic partnerships, the latest of which was linking the renewal or issuance of work permits for non-Saudis with having a rental contract registered in the "Ejar" network, in implementation of Council of Ministers Decision No. 292.
Al-Sammari emphasized the importance of the Ejar program in organizing and facilitating rental operations and proving them to enhance trust between parties, as well as registering mutual commitments between lessors, tenants, and real estate brokers in the rental housing sector. The program’s future plans and strategic partnerships with related service entities, such as the Ministry of Justice, Health, and Education, in addition to electricity and water companies, were also discussed. These partnerships provide numerous advantages for all rental process parties. He also highlighted the role of supervision and oversight of real estate brokerage establishments and their oversight tours, which aim to ensure that service provision meets the desired standards expected by stakeholders in the real estate sector. This oversight also protects consumers, law-abiding establishments, and the brokerage profession from violators, ensuring that brokerage establishments are free from violations and comply with regulations and laws. This is facilitated through the "Real Estate Brokers" application, which enables users to search for accredited brokers on the Ejar network and report violating brokerage establishments.
After that, Engineer Hussam Al-Humaid from the program's Technical Department provided an explanation of the rental process steps through the electronic network, starting from registration as an accredited real estate broker to the documentation of the unified rental contract. He also discussed many of the network’s new advantages, such as quick rental contract registration in four steps within eight minutes, the ability to document rental contracts and accept them for all exceptional cases, and the possibility of documenting rental contracts even if one of the parties does not have an account on the "Absher" platform.
It is noted that the Ejar program was officially launched on 12 February 2018 to achieve objectives through which the Ministry of Housing seeks to organize and sustain the real estate rental sector and ensure the rights of all rental process parties. This has resulted in launching the unified rental contract, which is treated as an executive instrument, reducing potential disputes and ensuring their swift and efficient resolution.
