"Ejar" program of the Ministry of Housing has launched the quick registration service, which enables the documentation and registration of rental contract data in no more than eight minutes through the "Ejar" electronic portal (ejar.sa). This service includes the processing of exceptional cases, such as individuals who do not have accounts on the "Absher" platform, in addition to other advantages, including benefiting from integrated linking services with government entities to facilitate the data entry process.
"Ejar" program is regarded as an advanced electronic network that provides comprehensive solutions for the residential rental sector at present and the commercial sector in the near future. It works to regulate the relationship between all parties to the rental process (lessor, tenant, and real estate broker) by documenting contracts and safeguarding the rights of all parties involved.
The program seeks to serve as the primary driver in developing and strengthening trust in the rental sector, improving its investment environment, and ensuring its sustainability and growth. It also focuses on qualifying and developing real estate brokerage establishments. Additionally, the program aims to regulate relationships by adopting the unified rental contract, which serves as an executive instrument, and reducing the number of cases reviewed by the Ministry of Justice related to the rental sector through the establishment of a structured legal framework governing relationships between different parties. This approach contributes to supporting the national economy by organizing the residential and commercial rental markets, enhancing rental sector performance, and increasing its contribution to the GDP.

Previously, "Ejar" program introduced a reporting service for violations committed by real estate brokerage establishments through the "Real Estate Brokers" application. This application enables citizens and residents, whether tenants or property owners, to submit reports and send them to the supervision and oversight team at the "Ejar" program.
The application, which is available for download on smartphones, also provides a feature to search for accredited real estate broker addresses authorized to rent properties through the "Unified Rental Contract." In addition, users can submit reports and review common violations, such as engaging in real estate activities by non-Saudis, exceeding the legally specified commission rates for sales or rentals based on contract value, charging commission for contract renewals, engaging in real estate activity alongside other commercial activities at the same location, failing to register contracts in the Ejar network, and filing other relevant reports. Users may also select locations and upload attachments, such as images, which can include photos of the rental contract or the signage of the real estate brokerage office.
It should be noted that the launch of the "Ejar" network was implemented in accordance with Council of Ministers Decision No. 131, which mandated the establishment of the Electronic Network for Rental Services. The network was created to simplify rental transactions, document them, and enhance trust among parties, while registering mutual commitments between lessors, tenants, and real estate brokers in the residential rental sector.
The electronic network and the contract documentation service also offer numerous benefits to parties involved in the rental process, including electronic payment, issuance of electronic receipts and payment vouchers, assurance of maintenance obligations, facilitation of bill settlements, and various other advantages.
