"Ejar" program affiliated with the Ministry of Housing confirmed its continuation in serving beneficiaries in the real estate rental sector remotely by utilizing its diverse solutions and options around the clock through its electronic network, recording over 20,000 contracts since 15 March.

This was achieved through the program’s various channels, including the “Ejar” website and customer service center (920005226), in line with the health precautions announced by the relevant authorities to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

In a press statement today, the program announced that it recorded, since 15 March, over 19,000 electronic contracts for the residential sector, while recording over 1,800 electronic contracts for the commercial sector, reflecting interaction from more than 5,400 real estate brokers during the same period.

It also pointed out that it has served over 7,000 beneficiaries through calls received by the customer service center, diversified between reports, inquiries, and service requests.

"Ejar" stated  that the increase in authenticated contract numbers through the network reflects the growing interest in and demand for its diverse services and the protection it offers to all parties involved in the rental process, including landlords, tenants, and real estate brokers. It also expects a further increase in authenticated contracts in the coming period, contributing to organizing the rental process and safeguarding the rights of all parties by registering mutual obligations between brokers, landlords, and tenants. The program also facilitates completing rental processes at any time, from anywhere, and within a few minutes, ultimately simplifying procedures and providing key services that ease the rental process, foremost among them electronic payment and multiple payment cycle options.

Nahar bin Hasan Al Al-Sheikh, General Supervisor of Real Estate Regulation at the Ministry of Housing,  emphasized that the Ejar program is one of the regulatory programs that has a significant impact on organizing and strengthening the real estate sector and serves as a vital contributor to national economic development.

Al-Sheikh continued:  "Ejar" constantly strives to meet the needs of all parties involved in the rental process and provide multiple facilities through the services and additional features offered by the Electronic Rental Services Network. This includes flexible options for rental payment cycles and collection, whether monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual.

He added  that this service responds to the varying preferences of users, and that data and statistics from the Ejar network highlight the increasing demand for payment services. These services simplify the payment process for tenants and streamline collection for landlords, especially with the availability of electronic payment solutions.

Al-Sheikh further  confirmed that the Ejar program continuously works through its electronic network to enhance and develop services based on feedback and insights collected through awareness tours conducted by oversight teams and communication channels.

Among the benefits offered by  He concluded by noting that several services have been newly developed and implemented, including the quick registration service for residential and commercial rental contracts, as well as flexible rental contract periods, starting from three months for residential rental agreements and extending up to 30 years for commercial contracts. These initiatives ensure beneficiaries enjoy the full advantages of contracts, including their recognition as executive bonds, safeguarding the rights of all parties, and simplifying litigation processes.
