Rental Incident Registration Service

Overview

The Rental Incident Registration Service enables the registration of a paper rental contract on the Ejar network when one of the parties whether the landlord, tenant, or their representatives refuses to document the contract on Ejar. The service applies to residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial contracts.

Requirements & Conditions

  1. An active registration on the Ejar platform.
  2. Creating an account for the applicant if not already registered.
  3. Completing the contract details and providing a copy of the paper rental contract.
  4. Providing applicant information.
  5. Providing the details of the non-compliant party.
  6. Title deed information is mandatory if the applicant is the landlord, and optional if the applicant is the tenant.
  7. Registering the address of the rental unit.
  8. Ensuring the applicant has sufficient balance in their Ejar wallet.

Will the rental incident be canceled once the contract is documented on Ejar?

Yes. The cancellation of the rental incident on the platform is handled by the real estate broker.

Can I submit multiple rental incidents using the same applicant account?

Yes. Applicants may submit multiple requests, provided that the contract details are not duplicated, in order for the system to accept the applications.

Can I submit a rental incident with a contract duration different from the actual period stated in the paper contract?

No. The request will be rejected by the operations team due to a mismatch between the duration in the paper contract and the submitted rental incident.

Can I inquire about a rental incident through the Najiz portal?

Yes. By entering the rental incident number issued by the Ejar system.

What is the duration of a rental incident?

The duration is determined based on the period stated in the paper contract.

What are the fees for registering a rental incident?

  • 250 SAR per year for residential contracts.
  • 400 SAR per year for all other contract types.

Can I cancel a documented rental incident?

Yes, but once documentation is completed, the fees are non-refundable.
