The Ejar program affiliated with the Ministry of Housing authenticated over one million rental contracts, diversified between residential and commercial, with the percentage of beneficiaries using the monthly payment feature exceeding 31%.
The program confirmed in its statement today that the (Solution by Contract) campaign, which it launched, aimed to enhance awareness of residential and commercial electronic rental contracts by reintroducing the advantages and facilities provided by the electronic contract, in addition to services available in Ejar network that meet the needs of rental process parties. These include flexible payment options and multiple channels, varied contracting periods, renewal methods, diverse party obligations, and reliability in documenting financial rights between parties. The network is also approved by entities that require rental contracts or residence proof, and it offers a comprehensive package of electronic services, including electronic contracting, archiving, alerts, notifications, and other qualitative features.
The program explained that these numbers could not have been achieved without the confidence of rental process parties (landlord, tenant, real estate broker) and their ongoing contributions of suggestions and opinions, which added significant development to the features and services of the Electronic Rental Services Network. This growth also stems from opening new horizons through strategic partnerships that help regulate the real estate rental sector, preserve the rights of all parties, facilitate rental transactions, achieve balance in the sector, enhance trust, and encourage investment.
The program emphasized its responsiveness to developments and changing circumstances. During the coronavirus pandemic, and as part of comprehensive national measures taken by the state, the Ejar program launched the (Worker Housing Proof) service in just 10 days. This service assisted private sector establishments of all levels and classifications in identifying the locations and details of worker accommodations. The outputs of this initiative aim to reorganize worker housing and strengthen government efforts to ensure a suitable and healthy residential environment.
Regarding electronic services aligned with current circumstances to address the pandemic, Ejar introduced multiple services, including the (Contract Re-Concluding) service, which enables the renewal of expired or nearly expired contracts, the (Payment Grace) service, which allows postponement of rental payments, and the (Flexible Payments) service, designed to divide rental payments into unequal installments.
 All these electronic solutions, alongside other services provided by the Electronic Rental Services Network, support the remote completion of rental procedures and operations between all parties, helping to curb the spread of COVID-19 and reduce direct contact between the parties involved.
    It is worth noting that the Ejar program has established numerous strategic partnerships, such as integration with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs through the Balady portal, the Citizen Account Program, and the General Authority for Zakat and Tax, among other entities. The program is also working on establishing additional connections with government entities and forming partnerships with private sector companies to deliver high-quality, value-added services to network users.
The Electronic Rental Services Network was officially launched on 12 February 2018 to achieve several objectives. Through it, the Ministry of Housing aims to regulate and sustain the real estate rental sector while safeguarding the rights of all parties involved in rental transactions. This initiative materialized in the launch of the unified rental contract, which is recognized as an executive bond, significantly reducing potential disputes.
