The "Ejar" program announced recording over 5 million electronic rental contracts since the program's launch until the end of 2022, indicating that over 2.35 million contracts were authenticated during the past year, marking an increase of 87% compared to contracts authenticated in 2021, which included both residential and commercial contracts.

The program explained in a press statement today that the development of rental network services, the addition of more partnerships, the automation of rental processes, and the introduction of multiple channels for contract authentication have contributed to enriching the real estate rental sector, encouraging investment in it, and preserving the rights of all rental process parties, including landlords, real estate brokers, and tenants.

Ejar further stated that residential contracts registered in 2022 exceeded 1.8 million, while commercial contracts surpassed 470,000. It also highlighted that electronic payment transactions exceeded 600,000 from the launch of the service in Ejar until the end of 2022.

The program added that many of the features provided by the network have encouraged beneficiaries in the real estate rental sector to benefit from them. These features include the handover and delivery service, the rental behavior service, direct electronic contract authentication through the network, contract authentication through the Sakani platform, and the ability to register contracts through real estate platforms and authenticate them via Ejar. Additional features include marketing rental real estate units, offering multiple rental payment channels such as  "Mada" and "SADAD," and balance recharging, along with enabling beneficiaries to pay installments partially. Payment periods are also flexible and include annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly options. Furthermore, strategic partnerships with other entities have been established, enabling the transfer of services under the name of the actual user of the rental unit.

Ejar launched the Rental Index in March 2022, initially covering six cities. Since then, a series of enhancements were introduced to the Rental Index on the Sakani platform, allowing it to cover 16 cities and governorates. The index now offers features such as comparisons of average rental values across a group of neighborhoods, identification of price ranges for residential units, and the ability to search for neighborhoods containing units within a price range defined by the beneficiary. Users can also view the number of rental transactions for residential and commercial units in a specific neighborhood during a selected period, average rental values, clarify the price range for residential transactions, and visualize this information through charts.

The program also provides access to a list of accredited real estate brokers in each neighborhood, along with a "comparison" feature that allows beneficiaries to compare average rental values across multiple neighborhoods within a single city, pinpoint their locations, and view them on a map, with results displayed in charts. The "smart search" feature further enhances this by allowing users to determine desired price ranges for residential units within a specific city, offering a clear overview of neighborhoods and their locations within the specified range. All of these efforts aim to support beneficiaries, improve market efficiency, and align with the objectives of the Housing Program—one of the initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030.
